If you are considering separation or divorce
We strongly suggest speaking with both:
A counsellor — before, during, and sometimes after the legal process. Decisions made under acute emotional pressure are often decisions you would not make six months later. A counsellor helps you separate the noise from the clarity.
A lawyer who specialises in family law — to understand your rights, the practical realities of divorce or separation in Kenya, and to protect you and your children. FIDA Kenya (listed above) provides free legal aid to women. Most law firms in Nairobi offer family-law consultations.
We do not recommend making major decisions about separation in the heat of a single difficult moment. If you are at that point, please reach out for support — to Orygin Core Africa, to a counsellor, to a trusted friend, or to a helpline above.

A Note From Orygin Core Africa
We built our diagnostic instruments to help people understand the health of their marriages, families, and organisations — but a diagnostic is not the right starting point if you are in crisis, in danger, or carrying something too heavy to carry alone.
If you are here because a self-test felt like the wrong fit, that instinct is right. The right next step is a conversation with a person — a counsellor, a helpline, a trusted friend, a doctor, a pastor.
What you are facing is real. You do not have to figure it out alone. The contacts on this page exist because thousands of Kenyans have walked through what you are walking through and found their way through with help.
If we can support you directly, we would be honoured to. If another service is the better fit for what you need today, we hope you find what you are looking for there.
You are worth the call.

A note for those concerned about a friend or family member
If someone you love is in a difficult marriage or relationship, here are a few things that the research on supportive intervention consistently finds helpful:
- Believe them. When someone tells you something difficult about their relationship, do not minimise it, defend the other partner, or rush to advice. Listen.
- Do not pressure them to leave. Decisions about a relationship belong to the person in it. Pressuring someone to leave often pushes them deeper into isolation with the partner.
- Stay connected. Isolation is the most common precursor to abuse escalation. Regular contact — even if surface-level — keeps a person tethered to support.
- Share resources without prescribing. Pass on the contacts above. Let the person choose what to do with them.
- Take care of yourself. Supporting someone in a difficult relationship is emotionally heavy. You also deserve support.
